About the foundation

The foundation was established in 2013 with the aim of empowering children from deprived communities in cities AWA flies. In 2019, the foundation provided computers to aid in ICT training.

Objectives
  1. To encourage education and cultural exchange programs.
  2. To provide and assist in the care of underprivileged in society.
  3. To establish, operate and promote charitable foundations to help eradicate child poverty nationally and internationally.
Funding

Funds are solicited from customers on board AWA flights and the head office ticketing point. The company also assists where necessary.

  2. Osu Children’s Home (2014).
  3. 37 Military Hospital – surgical ward (2015).
  4. University of Ghana Sports Department (2016).
  5. The Asogli State – Educational Fund support.
  6. Centre of Hope Orphanage, Amasaman (2017).
  7. Diabetic Ward – Tamale Teaching Hospital (2018).
  8. Donation of computers – Akyemade JHS, Kumasi and Lagos Town JHS, Takoradi.
  9. Educational tour – Bonwire SHS, Ashanti Region.
Proposed plans for the year
  1. Fundraise online — the website as a fundraising channel.
  2. Move to the regional stations, starting with Lagos and Abuja, Nigeria.
  3. Reach Monrovia and Freetown.
