We are honored to share the success of our recent donation to the Korle Bu Breast Cancer Unit, held on Friday. This initiative raised an impressive GHS 62,600, thanks to the combined generosity of our passengers and the dedication of our staff. This donation was made in loving memory of our colleague who passed away from breast cancer earlier this year, symbolizing our commitment to supporting cancer patients and honoring her legacy.
The donation was warmly received by Dr Florence Dedey and Dr. Maurice Dordunoo, and two dedicated nurses from the unit, who expressed their deep gratitude for the support. They highlighted the ongoing need for companies to contribute to the unit, as many patients cannot afford the treatments they urgently need. Donations like this play a critical role in helping to cover medical expenses and provide essential support for these patients. The doctors extended special thanks to our compassionate passengers who contributed to this cause and to our staff, whose hard work and commitment made this initiative possible.
Christabel Amegayigbor, our Head of HR, presented the cheque to the head of the unit, symbolizing our solidarity and support for the breast cancer community. She was joined by Joselyn Andoh, Brand and Corporate Communications Manager; Maureen Ankrah, Senior Cabin Crew; Engineer Albert Afli; and Marlene Tonyigah, Employee Relations Manager, all of whom represented our team’s dedication to making a difference in the lives of those affected by breast cancer.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to everyone who supported this initiative, from our generous passengers to our committed staff members. This event marks a meaningful step in our ongoing mission to support cancer care in Ghana, and we look forward to strengthening our partnership with the Korle Bu Breast Cancer Unit in the years to come.
